The Front integration is available in beta for early-access workspaces. Contact support@buildbetter.app if it isn’t visible in your integrations list.
What Gets Synced
- Conversations: Inbound and outbound conversation threads from your Front workspace
- People: Contacts associated with Front conversations
- Companies: Company records linked to those contacts
Setup Guide
Prerequisites
- Active BuildBetter account on a plan that includes the Front integration
- Front workspace with API access and a connectable user account
- Admin permissions in both Front and BuildBetter
Quick Setup
Open BuildBetter integrations
Navigate to Settings > Integrations at app.buildbetter.app/settings/org/integrations.
Authenticate
Connect using either OAuth (recommended) or a Front API key, depending on how your workspace is configured.
Configure settings
Choose when to fetch conversations, what to share, and how often open conversations should refresh (see below).

Ingest a conversation when it is closed in Front.

Periodically refresh reopened conversations or open conversations with selected tags. Setting this to
0 disables automatic updates.

- BuildBetter respects Front’s rate limits and plan limits and will resume automatically when the limit window resets
- Reopened conversations and conversations matching tag rules continue to flow in based on your settings
- Failed or interrupted imports resume from the correct cursor instead of restarting or skipping records
Troubleshooting
Integration not visible- The Front integration is currently in beta. Contact support@buildbetter.app to enable it for your workspace.
- Reconnect from Settings > Integrations > Front
- Confirm the connected Front user still has access to the inboxes you want to sync
- Verify that “Fetch conversations on close” or your tag rules match the conversations you expect
- Check whether the conversation was closed or tagged after the integration’s start date
- Allow the next sync cycle to complete, or trigger a manual sync from settings
